Parallax Network ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Parallax Network mobile application (the "App"), a mining simulation platform that allows users to mine virtual PLX tokens. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect your personal information when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect
We collect information necessary to provide the App, to verify identity, and to comply with regulatory requirements. The information we collect may include:
👤 Account Information
Name, email address, date of birth, residential address, and password (hashed).
🆔 KYC Information Required
Government-issued ID, passport, driver's license, selfie photos, and other documents or images you submit for identity verification.
📱 Advertising Data
Anonymous identifiers and non-personal data used to deliver and personalize ads (through third-party ad networks and SDKs).
💬 Communications
Support requests and correspondence you send to us via email or in-app messaging.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal data for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account, authenticate logins, and recover access
- To perform KYC verification and confirm your identity for compliance and fraud prevention
- To operate and maintain the App and to provide the simulated mining service (including awarding virtual PLX tokens)
- To secure the platform, detect and prevent fraud, and protect user accounts
- To display advertisements and personalize ad content (using non-identifying data where possible)
- To communicate important information such as updates, policy changes, support responses, and security alerts
3. KYC Documents and Deletion Policy
KYC documents (IDs, selfies, and other verification images) are required to enable certain App features. We:
- Use KYC documents solely for identity verification and compliance
- Encrypt all KYC data in transit and at rest using industry-standard encryption Encrypted
- Limit access to KYC documents to authorized personnel and trusted verification partners
- Permanently delete KYC documents from our systems after verification is successfully completed Auto-Deleted, unless retention is required by law — in which case we will store them only for the minimum legally required period and protect them accordingly
4. Data Security
🔒 We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your information:
- All sensitive personal and KYC data are encrypted at rest and in transit (for example, using TLS for network transmission and AES-256 for storage where applicable)
- Passwords are stored hashed using a secure hashing algorithm (e.g., bcrypt or Argon2)
- We implement access controls, logging, and regular security reviews
⚠️ Important: While we implement reasonable safeguards, no system is 100% secure — if a breach occurs we will notify affected users and regulators as required by law.
5. Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data in the following limited situations:

6. Advertisements
Our App contains advertisements served by third-party ad networks. These ad partners may collect limited, non-personal information (device identifiers, approximate location, and usage signals) to deliver targeted ads.
Privacy Protection: We do not share KYC documents or other sensitive personal data with ad networks. To learn more about ad partners' data practices, please check the privacy pages of the ad networks shown in the App.
7. Cookies & Similar Technologies
We and our partners may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to operate, secure, and improve the App and to deliver analytics and advertising. Mobile SDKs may use persistent identifiers for ad personalization.
You can control some of these choices via your device settings or app permissions.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Specific Retention Rules:
- Account data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after account deletion to comply with legal obligations or to prevent fraud
- KYC documents are deleted immediately after successful verification unless a legal obligation requires longer retention; if so, we will retain only for the minimum period required by law
9. Your Rights & Choices
You have the following rights concerning your personal information (subject to local law):
- Access and obtain a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate personal data
- Request deletion of your account and personal data (subject to legal requirements and limited exceptions)
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
To exercise these rights, contact us at support@plxnetwork.com or use the in-app Settings > Delete Account flow. Requests to delete KYC data will be processed after any required verification and any legal retention obligations are checked.
10. Children's Privacy
🔞 Age Restriction: The App is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected a child's data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are material, we will notify users via the App or by email. The "Effective date" at the top will be updated when changes occur.

Account Deletion Flow:
Users can delete their account from Settings > Delete Account. The app may require password confirmation. After confirmation, we will begin secure deletion of account data and KYC documents in accordance with this policy and applicable law. Deleted accounts cannot be restored.

The App may contain links to third-party websites, services, or SDKs. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party practices. Please review the privacy policies of those third parties before providing personal information.
